BOY!
After having two little ladies, we’ll be adding a little BOY to our mix in April! Here are some common questions I’ve gotten about it 😊
Are you excited?!/Were you hoping for a boy?
These are definitely the most common questions and they go hand in hand. And . . . I’m not really sure how to answer it 🤣 We actually found out gender when I was about 7 weeks along with a Sneak Peek gender test, so I’ve had nearly 10 weeks to think about the news. My husband and I were both hoping for another girl, so when we initially found out it was a boy, I think we were both a bit disappointed/nervous. It’s a big change!
However, since I’ve had time to adjust to the news, now I AM excited. It will be fun to have a change! And even though I’m not someone who really wanted both genders, I’m happy I’ll get to experience both.
Leading up to the ultrasound that confirmed it was a boy, I wondered how I’d feel if it turned out to be another girl, and at that point, I was hoping it was a boy. I had gotten attached to it being a boy, so I would have felt confused or something if it were another girl 🤣
Does this affect how many kids do you want?
Another complicated question 🤣 We always said 4, until about 1.5 years ago. At that point, Russ said he might be done at 2. I pushed for a third, which Russ eventually agreed to, and I’m still hoping for a fourth! My kids drive me CRAZY, but I also love coming from a big family (5 kids) and I’ve always wanted a big family of my own. It depends on the day whether I say I’m done or not, but Russ is pretty sure he’s done. But . . . I’ve convinced him before 🙃😉
Now that we’re having a boy, I do hope to have another boy so they can hopefully be buddies. But we’ll see, of course! (And even if we have another, there are no guarantees it’ll be a boy!) One baby at a time, I guess 😅
Has this pregnancy felt different?
A little bit. I felt MORE nauseous than I did with my other two pregnancies, but for a shorter time. I felt really crappy from weeks 6-10, and then pretty much better. Other than that, pretty much the same. And who’s to say whether the difference is because it’s a boy or if it’s just because I’m no longer in my twenties 🤷🏼♀️
